The Build Lab

Your team’s knowledge is scattered across 47 documents, 12 Slack threads, and someone’s head.

What You’ll Learn

See how to build it—then do it yourself

This isn’t about fancy technology. We built ours with a standard ChatGPT feature in about an hour. The magic is in the structure, not the software.

In this session, you’ll get:

  • The Cornerstone Documents Framework — the six living docs that turn a chatbot into a real team member
  • A live build from scratch — watch us set up a shared AI workspace in real time, step by step
  • A real user’s perspective — co-host Beth Lind shares what it’s actually like to work with a shared AI partner on a distributed team
  • Pitfalls and lessons learned — what tripped us up and how to avoid it on your team
  • Privacy and data security — a clear, empowering framework for what to put in and what to leave out

Everyone who registers gets a starter kit after the session: cornerstone document templates, sample custom instructions, and a platform comparison guide.

Who This Is For

Designed for people who coordinate teams

Team Leads & Managers

Coordinating distributed or async teams and tired of chasing updates.

Founders & Executives

Want AI that serves the whole team, not just yourself.

Fractional & Solo

Juggling multiple projects or clients and want AI that actually remembers the context.

Consultants & Advisors

Work with client teams and want a repeatable approach to knowledge sharing.

No technical background required. If you can use ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, you can do this.

What We’ll Build

From real experience to your team

Amanda and Beth are both fractional on a distributed startup team—about 10 people, all working fractionally, different time zones, 5–7 hours a week each. They built a shared AI knowledge partner to keep everyone connected.

Beth will share what it’s actually like as the person on the team who uses it every day—from chasing document versions to having an AI partner that surfaces conflicts between decisions and connects dots across workstreams.

Before Chasing documents, unsure which version is current
After One AI partner with the full context of the project
Before Insights siloed in individual work sessions
After AI connects dots across workstreams and surfaces conflicts
Before Hours catching up across time zones
After Ask for a one-paragraph summary of any workstream

Then Amanda will build a brand-new shared AI workspace from scratch, live on screen. You’ll see every step: creating the project, writing custom instructions, adding cornerstone documents, and the moment the AI starts synthesizing across sources.

The demo uses ChatGPT Projects, but the same approach works in Claude Projects and Gemini—we’ll cover the differences so you can use whatever your team already has.

Amanda Worsfold

Your Hosts

Amanda Worsfold

Amanda helps executives and teams implement AI in ways that actually stick. With 20+ years leading product and digital transformation at companies like Aperian Global, she brings both strategic perspective and hands-on technical chops.

She holds a certificate in Human-Centered AI from Stanford and has built AI solutions ranging from custom GPTs for distributed teams to production apps submitted to the App Store.

Amanda’s approach: less hype, more “what can you actually use on Monday.”

Beth Lind

Beth Lind

Beth is a fractional go-to-market lead who brings the real user’s perspective to this session. She’s not the person who built the AI workspace—she’s the person on the team who uses it every day.

Beth will share what it’s actually like to rely on a shared AI partner for coordination, decision-making, and keeping a distributed team aligned—including what surprised her and where the real value showed up.
